I swear to god I'm trying so hard to resist the urge to leave love letters for you and Resistivity after every damn entry. Can I come live with you guys? I could be like the family dog, I'll just sit at your feet and ask to be petted once in awhile, only I'm better than a dog cos I can walk myself, I feed myself, and I don't have bad breath. Lily already pretends to be a dog most of the time anyway, and I think I could learn. It's just an idea.

Oh my god I fucking LOVE you. J. and I want to be part of the feminist consensus-based collective too! I'll be looking for the installment where Mai Ling hears suggestions from the collective about what surname she will choose for her elementary-school years . . .

I love the idea of a queer Gilbert & Sullivan, which is ALMOST a redundacy! But how fun! Does Washington, D.C., have an alternative arts and entertainment newspaper? We have one in Los Angeles, the L.A. Weekly, and they do a good job of publicizing smaller theater groups with reasonably-priced advertising and they'll send representatives out to check out the production. I was in a play that started slow but built up such momentum that we doubled the length of our run, plus became a "cult hit" with many people coming to see us over and over. The L.A. Weekly helped a lot with that by first selecting us as "Theater Pick of the Week," and then nominating both the playwrite and one of the actors for "L.A. Weekly" Awards. Glad your ticket is hotter than the theater!

Oh, how sweet were the days when I too was "younger." Always the tiniest, youngest, smartest one in class; then the youngest, most opinionated, & hippie-est; then maybe just one of the younger ones whose opinions had been heard already by some of the older ones; now, oddly, a little bit older, and even a LOT older - one co-worker-friend has mother 2 WEEKS older than me! Ah well - say, my dear, I simply must know the name of the fucked-up feminist organization, since I still work for PP and it has its own set of problems. And don't forget QE tonight!
