This is the first time I've seen lyrics posted in a diary that I thought they OUGHT to be there. I couldn't agree with you more.

Against Abortion? Become a lesbian! ... haha. okay, this is part two of my request for wedding tips. i should have explained better! we're having 2:30 ceremony, then our plan is to have a "hors d'oeuvres and champagne" (LOVE that!!!) reception from, say, 8 pm til the wee hours. we're cutting the guests loose for those hours in between. they can go see the sights or something. sigh, i don't know. i feel sort of uncomfortable leaving them to fend for themselves, but not comfortable with having immediate family only for food, 'cause there are other people way more special to me. and not comfortable paying for dinner for 150 people (more like not possible!). what do you think?

If I had a nickel for every time I was lucky to be at home watching The Price Is Right, I would have enough money to stay at home and watch The Price Is Right all day.

okay, you offered, now i'm asking for wedding advice. we've been planning an evening wedding in order to skip the whole part about feeding people a ridiculously expensive meal that no one cares about and will never accommodate all my various vegan/veggie/carnivorous friends/family. but, N's dream location doesn't have anything in the evening. so, we've changed our plan and now we're having the ceremony at 2:30 in the afternoon and we're still going to go dinner-free. we're just going to cater lots of yummy snack food - thai, vietnamese goodies and have it first thing at the "reception" (party!) and leave it out all night for people to munch on. i've even heard somewhere that this is called an "old-fashioned cake and punch reception". but, my question (finally!) is... how do you think we make it clear to people we're not feeding them supper, without offending them? AND how do we fend off N's mom who is going to throw a hissy fit about how people of her generation expect to be fed and watered for free and that they'll be offended if we do this?

Absolutely. And the only reason I didn't bother the survey-taker with that one is . . . I don't even know a date to attach to it! When, O when will our history be more than a series of things we can't believe happened in the first place?
